“If I was to get this for my Xbox series x, do I need to get a new, different, hdmi cord ? A 2.1 hdmi, in order to have full potential or will a 2.0 work and have use of the full potential?”

2.1 is needed for 4K at 120fps the 2.0 is half that you get 4K at 60 fps but this monitor came with both hdmi and DPort cables I love this monitor!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately the ports on the monitor are limited to HDMI 2.0 as far as I’m aware. You won’t need an HDMI 2.1 cable (although it’s provided in the box with the Xbox Series X so you shouldn’t be buying one anyways). Any HDMI 2.0 capable cable will make the full use of the capabilities of the monitor.
