How would you hook up a speaker to this device? null

There is a headphone jack on the monitor. It's not pointed out in the photos and it is currently not listed on Best Buy's specification sheet. The manufacturer's official user manual confirms that there is a headphone jack.

There’s an aux port on the underside.

Using the auxiliary cord input but unless you have to have speakers for one reason or another you really do not need speakers, the ones built into the monitor work really great.

You plug it into the 3.5 audio jack built into the monitor
