The real answer is only sort of. Best Buy will completely allow you to purchase their 2-yr plan but won't honor it during the first year, claiming it's the manufacturer's problem. Our track ball stopped working about 8 months after purchase and Best Buy/Geek Squad refused to deal with it. Instead they insisted we had to go through manufacturer, gave us a FAX number for Cokem and we are still trying to figure out how to get someone to take care of the basic replacement part or even talk to the right person..... aggravating, Geek Squad coverage is a bit of a crock for these types of purchases, don't buy it or rely on it.
