Well, you can convert any format to any other format. But it can be expensive. The biggest issue is the security surrounding the Audio on HDMI. Digital HDMI Video to DVI Digital Video is fairly cheap. HDMI video to Analog video jumps in price. Pealing Analog Audio off (non copyright) is a little more expensive. Best to upgrade your monitor to one with HDMI. It would be cheaper. Try to find one with Analog inputs too. For the Retro stuff you want to connect.
