• This works through your existing wifi network, so it is only limited by the reception on your wifi.

• You need to run the chromecast off a router in the first place aside from that it depends on signal strength

• As long as your device and the Chromecast are connected to the same WiFi, it doesn't matter where you are in the room. BUT if your device isn't connected to WiFi, you can still initiate transfers to Chromecast but you will have to be very near the TV as this feature uses your device's location data, the Chromecast's WiFi location data/strength, and some audio recognition.

• The answer to this question will depend on the signal strength of your current wireless internet hub. If you have a wireless router that is able to broadcast a signal to the area that you are inquiring about then you should have no problems. If you are unable to get a strong enough signal to your device, from your house, then you will need to purchase a wireless repeater or an additional wireless router.

• Chromecast will connect to your wireless network or act as it's own wireless access point to connect your smart phone or tablet to it directly. There is no wired input for the Chromecast.

• As long as you are in the same wifi network, you can be even further away from the Chrome Cast or tv
