You will need a wifi network to use it as well as a wifi enabled device, e.i. a tablet, smartphone, etc. The wifi enabled device will project content to the TV through the Chromecast; therefore, it will not replace cable.

Plug in the Fire TV Stick in the HDMI plug in the UBS power access the wifi from the campground and watch TV. Some camps have great wifi, some are terrible.
