• No, Amazon and Google are competitors. Both have streaming devices. But you can mirror your android phone to the tv, and watch amazon from your phone. A little work around.

• Consider Amazon just BANNED this from sale on their website on the first of October, I doubt it will ever have prime video support.

• It's not built in. You're able to cast it through the Amazon Prime app on IOS or Andriod. I cast it on my IOS and works flawlessly. Hope this helps.

• No. This is Amazons fault. They have a competing product called a fire TV stick. They want to keep prime away from Google because they don't want to help a competitor. This means Chromecast will likely never have prime video. If you have to have prime get a TV stick. If not I own both and can tell you the Chromecast is much more versatile and just better performing than the TV stick. You could also go to prime video on your PC and cast the tab and watch prime with Chromecast but it will never have an android app for it.

• There are 3rd party apps that allow you to stream Amazon prime to your Chromecast like megacast for example

• I think this is up to the app developer, in this case Amazon. They do offer their own hardware which suggests it's not a priority but Roku is supported so maybe one day they will figure it's in their interest to support any device that brings in customers.

• No, the Amazon prime app on Android and Apple devices does not have the function to stream to a Chromecast. There is a workaround, which is to use the Google Chrome extension of Chromecast on any PC or Mac and stream the content through there...
