• Absolutely, as long as you have wifi and an open hdmi port. All instuctions are in the box but you'll basically need to download the Chromecast app and plug in the device. The chromecast itself plugs into an hdmi port on your tv and requires power from a micro usb connector (the package includes a rather long cord and wall adapter, but I had a couple of short phone chargers lying around and we use one to plug into the usb port on the tv. Works great). Use the app to connect your device to your network, adjust your settings and off you go.

• As far as I know, the Chromecast is tied to the app you are trying to cast and it will work on most devices as long as the app is Chromecast ready

• Yes, you can use your phone as a remote once you install the chromecast app from google, and your TV will work as long as you have WiFi and an HDMI slot.
