You can cast that tab, while using another tab. I've done it a lot, stream from one tab while surfing in 3 others.

No, it doesn't render your laptop useless. You are only able to cast one tab at a time, so you can switch to another tab that isn't casted and browse the web normally.

Hey Johnny, it doesn't block your ability to use it. You can change tabs and it will only display that one tab you put to show on the TV. No need to have it opened. It's great!

You can toggle from the page that you are streaming and still work with your laptop.

No, it does not render your laptop useless. It will extend the Chromecast as if it is a second monitor. You can use your PC as normal.

I have used the Chrome extension and if I'm remembering correctly it is tab by tab. I do remember I was able to use my computer

No you can still use other tabs while chromecast is playing a movie or show. Only the tab you are mirroring will show up on screen

You 100% can specify a certain tab and do basic browsing or other stuff on other tabs. Just be Weary rendering video eats up processor power like crazy
