• This works separately from your cable service. Sometimes you can sign into an app (like HBO go, or watchESPN) and still watch whichever channel, but for the most part, this will be a separate situation. It's perfect for netflix, hulu, youtube.

• Works on any TV that has an available HDMI port as long as there's an available WiFi network for setup. Just plug it in, download the Google Cast app to your phone/tablet/computer (free on Google Play & iTunes Store), open it and run setup (you will need to know the WiFi login info/password) and you will be ready to go in minutes.

• You need wifi for this to work. The setup is very easy, if you know how to get your smartphone on wifi you can do it. Chromecast adds a little icon that you touch to make the show or music transfer from your phone to the TV for watching / listening.

• If it's a supported application it will mirror correctly but like I said prior I could not mirror my phone or watch a show on my tv from the history channel that was disappointing to me and forced me to purchase something wks I needed more then this product.
