“Can it play content already saved on my laptop like movies , music , etc. ?”

• The only music it plays for me is Spotify and Pandora, I don't think Apple Mauic is on there and as far as I know it doesn't stream saved videos from your laptop, I think a different caster would be better for that specific need

• Yes, because on your laptop you can choose to stream just one google chrome tab, or stream your whole screen (whatever you do on your computer). So, you could play your video, and then you can stream it
