• I run it from my desktop and laptop both (using Windows 10, however). You can cast anything from the Google Chrome browser.

• Yes you can. If for any reason the program or application you want 2 cast doesn't have a cast button... Right click and select cast Desktop. It will ask you where to cast it to and show you the TV you have Chromecast connected to. Select and you're done. I do it every day.

• You just need to use google chrome as your browser. click on the three dots in the upper right corner and select cast to send whatever is on chrome to your tv.
