Can you use WiFi hotspot with it null

You need 2 phones 1 for the hot spot the other one to setup the device , thats how I did it

not on the same device. Example. Lets say i have my iphone and turn on hotspot, and then try streaming the movie there and the chromecast is on my iphone hotspot, it wont connect.

My best friend uses it with his hotspot and it works great... the only issue he has is keeping the hotspot charged through all of his Netflix binges.

Technically yes, but you'll need to go through the setup for every network you set it up on. It is really designed to be on only one network

Yes. Connect both devices with the same WIFI

Yes but I do NOT recommend it... the bandwidth is VERY poor and NOT conducive to a good streaming experience.
