“Is there an extension available to help pick up wifi signal from far corner of the house?”

For the Chromecast, no. But Best Buy has the TPLink wifi extender available that works pretty well for that.

Pick up a Network Extender to help boost the Wi-Fi signal from the other end of the house. Keep in mind that Range Extenders often reduce performance and you may get spotty connections.

get a wifi repeater, or a better wifi router (wireless ac is very good, fast and strong)

They sell Wifi range extenders everywhere. Apple express can be used as one.
