Unfortunately, not unless you just purchased your old one within return policy, but with how cheap these are I don't think a trade in program would benefit Google at all.

I've not heard of any such store offering such a deal. Just like you can't return your old TV or computer into just any store for an upgraded model, I don't expect Google to offer such an option. They wouldn't make any money.

I've never heard of a Chromecast trade in program. I had 3 first version units. They became gifts when the new one was available.
