No You use your smartphone, tablet or computer to control what you send to it. You can get movies from Google play, vudu etc....then cast them to your TV from your device. Once the cast is started you can use you device for whatever.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NO. Chrome cast is mirroring you phone. After you sync your phone with your Chrome cast you just have to open up Netflix on your phone and select a movie and it will sync right to your TV. Make sure you have unlimited phone data plan.
