“I hooked up Chromecast to the HDMI input but when I cast YouTube to the tv, I only get sound thru the tv speakers & not through the stereo speakers. Do I need to get Chromecast audio also to plug into the stereo speakers & cast YouTube to both C-casts?”

Just download the YouTube app, then you can cast directly from the app. Hope this helps.
