“Can this be used without WIFI? I have a motorhome with TVs and a cell phone plan with unlimited data as well as direct TV...but I do not have Wifi in my motorhome. Can I still use this to display whats on my phone to one of the TVs?”

If you have data plan on your phone you can use your phone as a hotspot and stream to your TV.

No. But maybe you could use your phone as a mobile Hotspot and try it that way but may eat your data

The only way I can see this working at all is if you use your phone as a wifi hotspot. Otherwise, the chromecast needs to be connected to a network - the same network as the device from which you are streaming.
