Please try again later.You have to have Wifi to use the ChromeCast, because the ChromeCast dongle is just like one of the other devices, such as printers, tablet, laptop etc, that all communicate with each other through the shared WiFi. You also need to have Apps like YouTube, Hulu, Netflix in order to stream the video from mobile devices to the TV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You'll probably need two phones to do this. Your verizon phone (Cell-A) will need to be in hotspot mode and start transmitting a wifi connection. A second device (Cell-B) will need to connect to your Cell-A wifi, and download Google Home App. You'll use Cell-B to connect ChromeCast to the wifi network. At that point, it SHOULD work, but I've never tried this method before. Be aware that the data usage will be really high and you might get throttled/charged if you reach that limit.
