“I have a Galaxy A01 and want to use it to watch Netflix on my TV. My question is, while watching Netflix will the phones screen time out and go black, if so will the TV go black also? Or, can I turn the phones display off and still see Netflix on the TV?”

Chromecast connects thru the google home app, once connected your phone will send the signal to your TV regardless of your phone's screen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you're casting directly from your Netflix app, your TV will continue to stream your favorite videos even if your mobile phone's screen times out. If you're mirroring your mobile phone, then your TV will black out once your screen times out as it will mirror whatever you see on your mobile phone’s screen.
