A lot of apps have Chromecast support. I know for a fact that PBS app supports this. When it sees a Chromecast on your wireless network, the Chromecast icon will show up in the app (on PBS app, it is in the upper right hand corner). This isn't a comprehensive list, but this is a list that Google provides of apps that have Chromecast support - https://store.google.com/product/chromecast_apps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you should be able to "cast" the shows to your TV. There will be a little "Cast" icon somewhere on your app. Just set your TV input settings to HDMI, go to your app and pull up what you want to see, and then find the cast icon to send the show to your TV screen. When you're done, you can tell your phone to quit casting and go back to regular TV.
