what is the chromecastultra used for in tv? null

The Chromecast is used to stream apps onto your TV such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, etc.

If you dont want to watch something on your phone and you dont have a smart tv or XBOX ect... then you use it to "cast the picture from your phone to the Chromcast which will transfer the image to your tv. Check Youtube for instructional videos.

This device is compatible with Directv Now, I gotta have my Cable TV...

Actually, Amazon Video does not cast. Nearly every other video streaming service does.

It is used to "cast" any google chrome capable app on your smart phone (iPhone or droid) or anything that you have in the google chrome browser. Live tv is much better on Ultra than on the basic model as it can stream at a higher rate.

This makes tour tv connect well with Google home. Just say hey Google turn on netFlix on my TV. If connected it works
