The mobile wifi is only used to start the streaming. as soon as you play something, the streaming data is directly fetched from ethernet so you’ll get better speed while watching content.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well you can't hardwire the Ethernet connectivity of this thing, so that's out of the question. When you cast something to stream, the Chromecast does the streaming itself off your WiFi, not your phone. If your phone is on the same WiFi then it will be sharing bandwidth with the Chromecast just like anything else. It shouldn't be a problem, but if it is then you could move the Chromecast to a different band like 5GHz, and keep your phone on 2.4.
