“I live in Montrose Co and can not get peacock on my sling or fire stick and NBC does not com in on sling in my area will this allow me to get preacock. That is the reason I am considering purchasing this. Also will I need 3rd generation or ulta”

Unfortunately, Peacock isn't a supported app. You can check this link to see and check all Chromecast supported and partner apps: https://store.google.com/us/product/chromecast_apps?hl=en-US

You can easily cast from the app to the chromcast. It'll play seamlessly. With Chromecast Ultra you can cast 4K videos too.
