No need its comes with all the cables necessary to get your started if you are going to stream using wi-fi if you plan to use direct connection to router you will need ethernet cable.

It comes with the power adapter for powering the device. If you so choose to use the ethernet port on the power adapter you will need an ethernet cable to plug into your router.

The chromecast has it's HDMI cable attached in the unit, and the power adapter is available. The only cable you would need is an ethernet cable if you did not want to go wireless. If your wireless is fast enough, then everything you need is in the box.
