It will but it will complain about it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That depends.... Does the tv's USB port provide enough power output capability? (Watts/Amps) A mere majority does not, unless it is designed to power a hard drive without power-cord/supply or designed to charge devices. A USB stick barely uses power.... Mobile devices nowadays can use up to 100 Watts (USB type-C), the majority uses 2.0-2.4Amps@5Volts. I am not sure what the power consumption of a chromecast is...but it shall nor can't be lower then 1.4Amps@5Volts but is likely to be 1.8-2.0Amps AT THE LEAST. Garanteed it will work IF the USB output of the TV is capable of 2.4Amps on the used USB port. (Many folks got/use several devices connected limiting power output per-port on some TV's thus not or no-longer supporting higher power requiring devices)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no USB option with this version. You have to plug it in via the adapter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don’t worry. It works with TV’s USB port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The previous Chromecast versions worked in this manner but I have not tested the chromecast ultra. I would imagine this would work if the TV's resolution is lower than 4k.
