• Google is the carrier, I believe. Google Fi uses signals from Tmobile, Sprint and US Cellular.

• Google Fi is the carrier technically. They are an MVNO and use other carriers’ networks for service but your billing will be from Google and your service provider shown on the phone will say Google Fi.

• It connects you to 1 of 3 carriers, and automatically switches you as you move around to get the best connection. That is, IF your phone is made to work with Google Fi, such as the Pixel phones and others. It includes a VPN that lets you use Wifi where you would not without it. Encryption is automatic. It's a great plan.
