Google Fi is a separate carrier from MetroPCS. You could get this, switch your SIM card, and just activate the account for one month since it's a month to month charge. There is no cancellation fee, contract, or required period of usage. Additionally, you should confirm on the Google Fi website that your phone is compatible with the Fi network.
