Nest thermostats work with internet connection and secure wireless networks, 802.11a/b/g/n (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), 802.15.4 (2.4GHz). And most home Wi-Fi networks are compatible with Google and Nest products, but there’s a short list of network types that we don’t recommend using with Nest products. Avoid connecting to the following networks if you can. These networks may cause issues, or might not even work with your Google and Nest products at all: - Mobile hotspots - Guest network, open networks, or isolated networks - DSL internet service with less than 2Mbps bandwidth - Captive portal networks - Enterprise 802.1x/RADIUS networks Learn more about the tech specs here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9230098
