So True! Setup with my existing wired Nest cams and other devices was challenging requiring a phone call to solve. The result is that I now have two “homes” because these new battery cams cannot get added to my existing setup. I have 7 devices on one home and these cams on the other. I am constantly switching back and forth between apps. It just seems so fragmented.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Google, we don't want an integrated experience with our speakers. We want an integrated experience with our Nest products. Until you can get the Home app up to par with the Nest app, you should really reconsider your strategy and allow this camera to be added to the Nest app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I see my cameras through the Home app. Works great. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree Spoke to Google and the new products are no longer compatible with the Nest app I personally like the tiles to view them all and scroll This is a game changer, and will change my decision to continue with Nest/Google We have options now
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The new Nest Cameras are exclusive to the Google Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Our teams are working on enabling the ability to setup and control older Nest cameras in the Home app so users will have one app to control all of their devices. We’re also working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your other Nest and smart home devices.
