I have a NetGear AC1200 DualBand MU-MIMO. My camera is on the outside of the garage and the extender is inside the garage at the front of the garage (opposite end from the camera). That works well. My Comcast router doesn't do well at distances because I need an extender for my Nest doorbell (and needed one for the Ring when I tried it). But the signal is strong to the extender - 60 feet maybe - and then to the camera. Can you plug your extender into an outlet near the camera and still get a strong signal at the extender? Which camera are you using? I have the Next IQ Outdoor Camera.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your signal is unable to reach an outdoor Nest Cam. We would suggest using a WiFi extender to boost the signal. Just be sure once the extender is installed that everything is set up properly between the router and extender to ensure you get the boosted signal you're after.
