• Yes, the base can be mounted to a horizontal or vertical surface, or for that matter, a surface of any angle. The swivel joint and the shape of the camera body allows for pivoting the view to almost any angle, regardless of where it is mounted. I have three of these cameras mounted under the eaves of my house.
