You can upload clips to your computer so that you can save or share
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You cannot, the videos are backed up to the Nest cloud. You can send videos clips to yourself or friends via text or email.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, not that I'm aware of.....It all runs through the Nest servers and back to your device (I experience a second or two lag)......I imagine it would not be too terribly hard for a person to somehow hack or rewire (i'm not advocating an individual does this) the camera unit to record locally but it will not out of the box.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The Nest Cam video is stored in the cloud on a subscription basis. You get a 3-hour rolling history for free. If you want to store 10 days of history, it costs $10/month for the first camera. $5/month for additional cameras. For 30 days of history, it's $30/month. $15/month for additional cameras. At any time, you can record and save a video clip, which may then be downloaded to your PC as an MP4 file. Or you can share directly to Facebook or Youtube or send a link to your video clip, so others can stream it from your cloud account. The advantage of this is that nobody can break in, find where you are storing the video, and then smash or steal the hard drive, PC, or VCR. Once you've captured someone on video, there's nothing they can do to erase it. (Unless your Nest password is 12345!)
