If you hit the quiet open button on a detect, it will re-arm once the door or window is closed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can suspend any detect and it will become active once it comes back in contact with the sensor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Quiet Open is the name of the feature you're referring to. It will disarm that sensor until you close the window again. For more information this is on Nest's site. https://nest.com/support/article/How-to-open-a-door-or-window-without-sounding-the-alarm-when-Nest-Secure-is-armed
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Detect will not arm until you close the window so you can't forget or you've just created a security risk as nest will not know if you're still using the window if you do leave you can set guard from your app and bypass the open window guard's motion sensor will be able to detect if someone enters through the window
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not limited to 30 seconds at all. I use it to let my dog out and he takes way longer haha. The key is to open the door/window within 10s of activating quiet open mode. You can leave it open for as long as needed and the sensor is safe to keep it ajar only 3" and not rearm.
