If self-monitored, it'll sound the siren + send notification on your app + turn on Nest camera (if you have one). If professionally monitored, Professional Monitoring from MONI is now available. $19/m (3-year contract, includes 24x7 monitoring + cellular back) OR $29/m (no contract, 24x7 monitoring + cellular backup). In this case Sensors will trigger the Siren + Let the MONI monitoring center know about the breach + Send notification. And, mostly MONI will call you &/or emergency contact. I bought the starter pack from MONI for $299 + $19/m professional monitoring. Doesn't beat that IMO :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My alarm sounds in 30 seconds loudly my phone goes off everyone on my predetermined contact list is notified If you pay for the nest subscription you are being monitored and they were can call the police and yourself directly I don't have the monitored subscription but all 3 of my cameras let me see and speak to intruders
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All depends on how you personally set it up. By default you will get smartphone alerts through the Nest App on iOS and Android. Plus emails can also be sent to you. Lastly you can pay for the optional full monitoring through MONI if you’d like for more comfort. However the system will still alert you and sound alarm without the full monitoring.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Currently nest hasn’t finalized their monitoring service agreement with MONI, which what used to be Monitronics. The alarm on the system as of today would sound but only notify you, leaving you responsible to contact the police. It also currently doesn’t offer cell backup which is coming but currently all a thief has to do is cut your internet lines coming into your home outside, knocking out your WiFi and even you won’t be notified of an alarm at that point. Been in the home alarm business a while, I would stay away from this until all their monitoring and cell backup deals are set so it’s an actually reliable system. Keep in mind, many local or even big name security companies can install a basic 2 door sensor and motion detector alarm with cell back-up for right at or less than what nest charges and monthly fees are very similar.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on what settings you have established on the unit and where it is placed. For example, a Detect placed on a window during Away if tripped will immediately sound an alarm. However, if it is placed on a door, it will give you time to enter in a code before the alarm goes off. You can set that time in the app. Out of the box, it only is an alarm system with no contact to any agency, however, they are looking at offering a subscription service with MONI.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have Moni ( I don't recommend them) you will get a text notification and a window to close/ turn off the alarm if you wish, but Moni will be in contact with you & send the police if need be. My way of dealing with this was to activate cellular backup for 50 bucks a year & let the notices come directly to me I can just as easily ring the police without moni in the middle. When you set your system do yourself a favor test EVERY sensor. This ensures not only are they all placed where you want them but are covering what you need them to
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Loud alarm sounds on the Nest Guard. Emergency services monitoring is via a subscription plan.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.a loud alarm will sound
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a self monitoring system, it does not call anyone only alerts your phone
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This really has nothing to do with a security system, it’s really just a motion detector that turns on lights when it detects motion.
