• I had the same question and found that Nest recommends 48 inches

• Mine is also angled and on a side wall. I am 6 1 and half of my face is not visible with my new Nest Hello installed by Best Buy.

• Mine is about the same height and gets the faces no problem. As for the angle, it comes with a insert that is angled and allows for alternate mountings other that straight ahead
