You can lock the temperature so it can only be changed if someone puts in a code.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The outer ring of the thermostat acts as a dial. They can simply turn the ring either way to raise or lower the temperature. The thermostat is fully functional on the physical thermostat. If you register the thermostat with your energy company and take their discount for controlling your thermostat, there can be limitations on what guests can do. If it is particularly hot out and your thermostat controls a CAC, the energy companies will limit on your thermostat how low it can be set. This can lead to warmer conditions than some may prefer. I have seen situations with house rentals where tenants were frustrated at the house temperature in hot months because the AC would not go below 76-78 degrees.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They simply rotate the dial. The schedule may get in the way later in the day but they just rotate the dial and change it. If it's a longer term rental, you can give them access with their own account temporarily so they can use the App too.
