• Data from it appears in the Nest Ap on your phone, depends on what you need. It will show temp in the room that you placed it but it doesn't record it

• Only if it is paired with a Nest thermostat. See my screen capture attached. The living room listing is the remote sensor. The thermostat is on a wall with the chimney in it and heats up. We use this sensor to control our heat instead of the thermostat.

• You can use the Nest app on your phone/tablet (Android 5.0 or later or iOS 12.0 or later) to monitor the temperature of your sensor. Just select the thermostat from the Nest app home screen and you will see all the sensors that report to your thermostat and what temperature they’re reporting.
