Nest Sensor will allow you to detect temperature differences in different rooms in the house. If you have large swings in temperature from room to room these sensors in conjunction with the nest thermostat can help maintain the temperature in rooms that you deem important at different times of the day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have only one zone and the sensor works perfectly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it will work even if your house is not zoned. The problem is that the room where the sensor is located will be at the comfort level you want to achieve, but the other rooms of the house will be different than what you are used to. I would recommend finding a location in the house for the sensor where the comfort levels in all of the rooms are what you would expect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a single unit but still bought an extra sensor. And even plan to buy another here soon! I really like the fact that I can choose the sensor location and it will keep the unit running until the desired temp is reached per that sensor. I would say try it out! ;)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most homes aren’t the same temperature in every room. Rooms vary widely -- the number of windows, how much sun they get, their size, how well they are insulated, and how many vents they have. And, often the room where your comfort is most important, like a baby’s room or bedroom, isn’t where your thermostat is located. If you find that an important room in your house is often too warm or too cool, or if your thermostat is located in a suboptimal place (like a closet, or in a very drafty area), a Nest Temperature Sensor might be right for you.
