How long will it last on battery power alone? null

Like any battery device that depends on its frequency of use as well as temperature. Batteries tend to not last as long when its very cold outside. Typically around a month for average use is a statement in the literature however it says you may see a longer or shorter time between charges based on you use. We wired this one to an old transformer powered mechanical doorbell in the house so it has constant power. But another brand we had that was battery only lasted about 4-5 months between charges due to low use.

Battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and camera settings that you select. You can extend the battery life of their camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Here are some typical scenarios. Busy: About 1 month battery life (About 25 - 30 recorded events per day) Typical: About 2.5 months battery life (About 13 - 16 recorded events per day) Quiet: About 6 months battery life (about 2 - 5 recorded events per day)

google states in the press release that it should last up to 3 months. so I would say about a month if you live in a busy area.

It's garbage. Needed a charge monthly and then all of a sudden just died and would no longer charge. Google tells me it's out of warranty, nothing they can do.

Impossible to determine because of the features you set on the phone that control how often the camera/sensors are active, how many times the doorbell is triggered in a month, and temperature. The general consensus is about 2.5 to 3 months. However, once mounted, the "quick release" tool makes it easy to disconnect and charge the doorbell...and charging was fairly fast using my phone's charger. Depends on the usage with the included tool it pops off and can be taken in to recharge.
