My understanding is that Verizon no longer locks their phones at all. With the Pixel 2 having both CDMA and GSM capabilities, it should in theory work right out of the box on any carrier. However, as Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge once said, "There's theory and then there's application. They don't always jibe."
