It comes with a Verizon Sim card preinstalled. Just take it out before you boot it up and put in your carriers sim card and it will work fine on any carrier. It is unlocked and it is NOT VERIZON exclusive. It just has a locked bootloader, which is the difference between unlocked and Verizon model. Unless you want to play around with the internal workings of the phone, which is why you would want to unlock a bootloader, or if you don't know what a bootloader is, then it will be fine, just TAKE the sim card out before booting up phone.
