If you own it outright it gets unlocked during set up
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I read 24 hours. I also read that it depends completely on Verizon. The one fact is, that if you do eventually get an unlock code, and then need to replace the handset under warranty, the replacement device will be locked and may never be unlocked.
