• No, the phone will not be locked to sprint. The point of having an unlocked phone is to switch over to any carrier you wish at any given time.

• If you select "unlocked" with "activate now" on the Sprint network, Best Buy will give you a phone that is LOCKED to Sprint. If the deal sounds too good to be true, it most certainly is. I found a lot of complaints about this on the Sprint forum devoted to pixel 3a. Sprint it blaming Best Buy.
