“If the Pixel 3a phone is purchased UNLOCKED, how does BestBuy know if I've activated? (I need to activate to get the $100 BestBuy gift card.) I want to use as company phone, but my company IT needs to receive phone before can switch/activate.”

• I received the $100 e-gift certificate after I picked up the phone. I did not have to activate the phone to get it, just pick up the phone. I ordered unlocked online and the e-gift certificate came to my email within 30 minutes after picking it up.
