QuestionI currently use Verizon and need a new phone. Would like this but need clarification. I can take my SIM card from current phone and put in this and it will work for Verizon as if it were my original phone? Is that correct?

- Answer They have a Verizon unlocked, Sprint unlocked, or an unlocked version that will work on both networks which I bought. I don't like to be tied to one carrier only. Buy the unlocked version and save yourself some worry. I hope that helps. Double check with the store, I'm pretty sure I'm spot on with my recommendation.

- Answer Yes. This can be used on Verizon Pre-Pay. I started on Prepay with this phone but transitioned to post-pay for data reasons

QuestionI am nearly deaf and do not need a phone but I was told this phone would translate voice to text on a black screen, even at the store while you're checking out. Can I use this translator without a phone service?

- Answer This phone does include LiveTranscribe, which is an app that, once enabled, can be accessed quickly from a button on the navigation bar. It does require an internet connection and is AI-powered, so it's not perfect, but it does work pretty well as long as you are close to the person speaking.

- Answer It works with all carriers, including Verizon. Get the Unlocked version, since the Verizon-specific one is missing some radio bands used by other carriers! That will adversely affect performance when you sim swap! In other words, don't buy this from a Verizon store. Stick with Best Buy and ask for the Unlocked one (or order it from bestbuy.com that way).

- Answer I took the Verizon SIM card out of my S7 and stuck it in my Pixel 3a. No issue at all, no activation fee. I didn't want to create a new line, which would have kicked me out of my grandfathered plan. You won't get the $50 off by going this route, however.
