- Answer They provide you with a cable that can link both phones and the phone will prompt you to copy the data and apps from the old phone to the new. My phone list was doubled because it synced with Gmail and copied the list from my phone - so I had two of everything!

- Answer Check with MetroPCS to see. The only concern is if your number/service was locked into a MetroPCS phone then there's no way to remove it. But if you don't have any contract and have a SIM card then yes this phone will work (since MetroPCS is GSM and sub carrier of T Mobile)
