A:Answer I always get unlocked phones (I tend to move carriers based on price) and I have not had a problem with any Pixel in this regard. I currently have an unlocked Pixel 7 on Google Fi (on the T-Mobile network), a Pixel 4 on AT&T, and an unlocked iPhone 13 Mini on Verizon. AT&T and Verizon have a provisioning process to bring your phone on to their networks (so you just can't slap in the SIM card - you have to contact them), but T-Mobile takes most unlocked phones that have their SIM.
Your carrier will usually charge you a nominal fee for the SIM card. However, this phone will take an eSIM, so you have that option which is usually free.
