Yes. This is especially handy if you're out in public and want to still remain aware of your surroundings. Also to double your listening time.

However, you cannot use one bud to listen to the phone and the other bud to listen to music at the same time. Same goes for wheb you have a phone call and you only have one bud in your ear. The bud will automatically switch to the phone call. Hopefully I answered your question!
