Q: QuestionDoes your phone need to be within Bluetooth range for the fitness tracking to work? (In other words... If I leave my phone in my locker at the gym while I run or cross-train, will the watch accurately record data to be synced up with my phone later?)

• A:Answer Yes, the Pixel Watch 2 has fall detection. In fact, it has more fall detection and SOS functionality than any other smartwatch (including Apple's). When a fall is detected, the watch alerts you and asks if you want to call emergency services or an emergency contact. If you don't respond, it can even call emergency services for you. In addition, the watch's Emergency SOS feature makes it easy for you to call an emergency contact or emergency services even if you didn't fall. I bought one for myself for the heart rate data, sleep tracking, etc. I'm also buying one for each of my grandparents for peace of mind.
